Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Transmission Line Project Engineer to join our team at Leidos. As a key member of our Power Delivery group, you will be responsible for designing and developing electric transmission line projects for high-voltage overhead and underground systems serving some of the nation's largest utilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply relevant engineering standards and conduct analyses to ensure project success
  • Prepare documentation and collaborate with a diverse team to deliver high-quality results
  • Design electric transmission line projects for high-voltage overhead and underground systems
  • Collaborate with clients and project teams to ensure effective communication and project delivery
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
  • 4 to 8 years of experience in designing electric utility transmission systems
  • Professional Engineering (PE) certification is desirable
  • Proficiency in software such as PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and TOWER
  • Strong teamwork and independent work skills
  • Effective communication abilities with clients and project teams
  • Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is a plus
  • Willingness for potential travel and on-site work
