Dignity Health Medical Group - North State is a distinguished multi-specialty practice with over 60 providers located in Northern California. As a part of Dignity Health Medical Foundation, we are associated with Dignity Health, the largest hospital network in California. We are currently seeking a General or Total Joint Orthopedic Surgeon to establish a comprehensive practice.

Responsibilities

Patient Care:

• Assess and manage a variety of orthopedic conditions.
• Design and execute comprehensive treatment strategies.
• Conduct thorough patient evaluations and medical histories.

Communication:

• Engage effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Provide clear and precise medical information.
• Encourage a collaborative, patient-focused approach to healthcare.

Documentation:

• Maintain accurate and current patient records.
• Document clinical findings, diagnoses, and treatment strategies.
• Ensure adherence to coding and billing standards.

Diagnostic Procedures:

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory and imaging studies.
• Perform necessary medical procedures.
• Collaborate with specialists for further diagnostic insights.

Team Collaboration:

• Work alongside nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Engage in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
• Provide consultative support to fellow healthcare providers.

Quality Improvement:

• Participate in quality assurance and enhancement initiatives.
• Analyze clinical outcomes for ongoing improvement.
• Implement changes to improve patient care and safety.

Compliance:

• Adhere to ethical and legal standards in medical practice.
• Stay updated on healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.

Continuous Learning:

• Keep informed about medical advancements and best practices.

• A valid and unrestricted California medical license.
• Board eligible or board certified in the relevant medical specialty (ABMS or AOA).
• Completion of an accredited residency training program.
