Job Title: Staff Psychiatrist

Job Description:

  • Direct Patient Care: Provides direct patient care, which includes supervision, medication administration, and diagnostic evaluation.
  • Medication Administration: Administers medications according to standards of care and good medical judgment.
  • Psychiatric Examination: Conducts psychiatric examinations for diagnostic evaluation, treatment needs, and prognostic factors.
  • Clinical Case Records: Maintains accurate and timely clinical case records, including psychiatric evaluations, progress notes, and treatment plan reviews.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborates with other members of the treatment team to provide integrated care and facilitate partnered decision-making.
  • Adherence to Safety Protocols: Adheres to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Medical Degree: Possesses a medical degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Psychiatric Residency: Completes an approved psychiatric residency program.
  • Licensure: Holds a license to practice medicine in New York State and current D.E.A. registration.
  • Board Certification: Board certification is preferred, and Suboxone certification is required.
