Behavior Support Specialist

As a Behavior Support Specialist at the Institute for Applied Behavior Analysis, you will play a crucial role in implementing tailored intervention strategies that foster skill acquisition and provide essential support for our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver individualized ABA therapy sessions in various settings, including educational institutions and home environments.
- Assist clients with daily living activities and academic tasks, promoting independence and confidence.
- Facilitate the development of essential skills such as adaptive play, self-care, cognitive abilities, social interactions, and communication.
- Utilize positive reinforcement techniques to encourage desired behaviors and enhance overall well-being.
- Conduct data collection and analysis to monitor client progress and adjust strategies as needed.
- Create a safe and supportive atmosphere where children and teens can express themselves freely.
- Advocate for individuals with disabilities across different environments.
- Maintain the highest ethical standards in all practices.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check.
- Current Covid-19 vaccination status, including recent booster if applicable.
- Negative results from a TB test.
- Access to a reliable computer and internet on a daily basis.
- Dependable transportation, valid California driver's license, proof of auto insurance, and willingness to travel within designated areas.
- Genuine interest in working with children and adolescents, with a playful and engaging demeanor.
- Ability to demonstrate patience and empathy when addressing challenging behaviors.

- Physical capability to lift up to 45 pounds and engage in various physical activities with clients.
