Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Teller to join our team at Financial Center First Credit Union. As a Teller, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our members, processing financial transactions, and promoting our products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process financial transactions accurately and efficiently, including receiving funds, posting transactions, and paying out funds as requested.
  • Provide friendly, professional, and confidential assistance to members, answering their questions and addressing their concerns.
  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities to promote and refer new services or products that will benefit our members' financial lives.
  • Research and troubleshoot member and internal inquiries regarding policies, practices, and products, referring members to appropriate staff members as needed.
  • Balance cash drawers daily to ensure accuracy in transactions and notify supervisors of any discrepancies.
  • Educate and coach members on how to use electronic services, such as online banking and mobile banking, to make banking more convenient.
  • Assist with completing opening and closing procedures, including processing night deposits and daily MSR scanning.
  • Maintain a neat and orderly work area, ensuring that all sensitive and confidential records are properly secured.
  • Adhere to applicable policies, including check cashing, identification, and security procedures.
  • Participate in community events supported by the Credit Union.
Requirements
  • Customer service and cash handling experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Trustworthiness and ability to act with integrity.
  • Ability to lift 15 pounds at a time.
Work Environment

The work requires physical mobility within the general work area and prolonged standing within a small work area. Long periods of intense concentration, continual communication with members, repetitive tasks, and a high level of attention to security are also required.
