Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Information Systems Security Engineer to join our team at Peraton. As a key member of our Information Assurance team, you will be responsible for supporting the development, engineering, and operations of infrastructure solutions and ensuring adherence to all aspects of the Information Assurance program.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement security test and evaluation plans to ensure compliance with U.S. Government requirements.
  • Provide certification and accreditation support for security and contingency plans, and conduct complex risk and vulnerability assessments.
  • Analyze policies and procedures against Federal laws and regulations, and provide recommendations for closing gaps.
  • Recommend system enhancements to improve security deficiencies, and develop, test, and integrate computer and network security tools.
  • Secure system configurations, install security tools, scan systems to determine compliance, and report results, and evaluate products and various aspects of system administration.
  • Conduct security program audits and develop solutions to lessen identified risks.
  • Provide information assurance support for the development and implementation of security architectures to meet new and evolving security requirements.
  • Perform vulnerability assessments, including development of risk mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare systems Assessment and Authorization (A&A) documents and procedures, and interface with other IA team members, other security disciplines, program personnel, and Government security representatives.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience with a BS/BA, or 12 years of experience.
  • Active TS/SCI with Poly clearance.
  • Risk Management Framework and Assessment and Authorization processes and related policies.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing and related security concepts.
  • Working knowledge of digital communications and related IT communications technologies.
  • Direct experience with patch management, continuous monitoring, and vulnerability scanning/remediation activities.
