Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Paramedic to join our team at South Shore Health. As a Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing emergency medical care in the pre-hospital environment, responding to requests for ALS intervention, and performing duties related to the provision of care and development of the community EMS system.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to requests for paramedic services from area departments in a timely and safe manner.
  • Perform complete and accurate patient assessments, adhering to Region IV treatment protocols and procedures.
  • Render pre-hospital medical care at the paramedic level, including performing ALS skills and providing emergency medical care.
  • Participate in community activities that improve the public's understanding of the EMS system, representing South Shore Health in a positive and professional manner.

Requirements:

  • Successful completion of the Community Paramedic class and clinical portion.
  • Prior experience as a provider of pre-hospital care in an emergency setting, with critical care experience preferred.
  • Verification of an acceptable motor vehicle driving record, with annual verification required thereafter.
  • Required certifications include ACLS, EMS, and BLS, with a valid driver's license also required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MA Drivers License.
  • PALS and NRP certifications.

Work Schedule:

Two 12-hour shifts per week, Wednesday to Friday, 9am to 9pm.
