Job Responsibilities

This position involves various tasks, including:

  • Installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in College structures and on grounds
  • Maintaining, repairing, and replacing low- and high-pressure steam systems, including boilers, valves, control valves, piping, condensate pumps, fittings, heat exchangers, controls, traps, meters, and other associated components
  • Repairing and replacing plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, showers, bathtubs, and connecting them to outlet and inlet pipes by fitting gaskets, couplings, traps, and valves, and soldering connections to seal joints where necessary
  • Repairing and replacing piping in non-portable water systems, such as condenser and chilled water systems, as required to support and collaborate with HVAC staff
