Job Overview
The Boeing Company is actively seeking a F-15 System Test Engineer (Level 2 and 3) to become a part of the Fighters Mission Systems team. This role is integral to the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with multidisciplinary teams, including hardware and software specialists, to create and implement detailed test strategies for the integration of mission systems on the F-15 aircraft.
- Devise, develop, and execute testing protocols and methodologies to validate the performance and functionality of mission systems hardware and software.
- Perform comprehensive testing and evaluation of mission systems integration, documenting any discrepancies or defects encountered.
- Collaborate closely with aircrew to facilitate testing in scenarios relevant to mission objectives.
- Partner with the development team to identify and rectify any integration challenges, ensuring timely delivery of superior mission systems.
- Utilize a variety of testing instruments and equipment to replicate real-world conditions and assess the efficacy of mission systems.
- Generate and maintain thorough test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and reports, ensuring precise and complete records of all testing activities.
- Work with fellow test engineers to enhance testing processes and methodologies, promoting efficiency and effectiveness within the integration lab.
We are currently seeking candidates across a spectrum of experience levels, including Associate and Experienced Level F-15 System Test Engineers.
Work Environment:
This position is expected to be 100% onsite, requiring the selected candidate to work at one of the designated locations.
Security Clearance:
This role necessitates the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance, which mandates U.S. Citizenship. An interim U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start and final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start are required.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science from an accredited institution.
- Capability to gain access to Special Access Programs (SAP).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience or a combination of education and experience.
- Experience in an avionics or mission systems laboratory setting.
- Familiarity with data protocols such as 1553, 1760, fiber optics, and ethernet.
- Knowledge of F-15 aircraft systems.
- Experience with DOORS and ClearQuest.
