Job Summary:As a key member of the Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility (REI) Department, the Reproductive Andrology Lead will coordinate and perform clinical andrology testing, ensuring all activities, procedures, and testing adhere to departmental guidelines, safety, and regulatory requirements. This role will collaborate with Reproductive Endocrinologists and other physicians on patient care, including insemination therapy, and identify opportunities for process improvements.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate and perform clinical andrology testing
Assist Director of the Laboratory with regulatory compliance
Collaborate with Reproductive Endocrinologists and other physicians on patient care
Identify and recommend improvements in operating procedures
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in biological/chemical science or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Documented training in andrology
5 years of pertinent laboratory experience
Demonstrated ability to plan and coordinate lab operations
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in laboratory medicine
Andrology Technical Supervisor (American Board of BioAnalysis) Certification
Medical Technologist certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP)
2 years of recent experience in an Andrology or Reproductive Laboratory setting
Physical Demands:
May need to move around intermittently during the day, including sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and ambulating
May need to remain still for extended periods, including sitting and standing
Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications
Ability to read job-related documents
Ability to use computer
