The morning Bartender is a vital part of our guest experience at Coastal Orange Beach. This role requires the ability to quickly establish rapport with customers, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued. The Bartender will perform essential tasks to guarantee smooth operations behind the bar.
- Prepare both classic and innovative cocktails in accordance with established recipes.
- Process customer payments accurately, handling both cash and credit transactions.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including all tools and glassware, adhering to food safety standards.
- Offer beverage recommendations based on customer preferences, aiming for potential upselling opportunities.
- Foster a genuine connection with patrons to build trust and encourage repeat visits.
- Coordinate with the barback to ensure the bar is well-stocked before and during the shift.
- Collaborate effectively with management and other departments.
- Adhere to all applicable liquor laws and regulations.
- Comprehensive knowledge of drink preparation, mixing techniques, and bar equipment.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Basic proficiency in math and computer usage.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail regarding drink quality, customer interactions, and cleanliness.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform various tasks, including lifting up to 25 lbs.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Previous experience in bartending or related roles is advantageous.
- Willingness to work during peak hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to work in a warm environment.
Compensation: The hourly wage for this position is $2.13 plus tips.
