Evening Preventative Maintenance Technician

POSITION SUMMARY
This role is essential for supporting the maintenance and preservation of the facility. The Evening Maintenance Technician (1-9:30pm) is tasked with conducting routine and preventative upkeep of all machinery within the premises, alongside general cleaning and maintenance of the facility itself. The ideal candidate possesses a diverse skill set, with experience in electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and general facility upkeep. A collaborative spirit and a commitment to quality work are key attributes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute all tasks safely, adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Conduct minor repairs in building maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and painting, as well as troubleshooting and preventative upkeep as required.
- Assist in construction projects, preventative maintenance, routine checks, and repairs on all facility equipment.
- Manage inventory for repair tools and supplies.
- Complete assigned work orders efficiently.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the equipment utilized within the facility.
- Maintain and enhance knowledge of the facility's plumbing, electrical, irrigation, HVAC, and security systems.
- Ensure adherence to all company policies and required training (Safety, Quality, Regulations, etc.).
- Perform additional maintenance tasks as requested.
- Foster a positive workplace atmosphere through a proactive attitude and self-motivation.
- Research and adapt to new methodologies to meet or exceed operational goals, modifying techniques as necessary to comply with applicable laws.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance or a related field preferred.
- Familiarity with HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical work, and general construction/carpentry.
- Proficient in the use of hand and power tools.
- Self-motivated, innovative, and capable of working independently or collaboratively, demonstrating sound judgment and resourcefulness.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
- Understanding and compliance with company rules, regulations, and procedures are essential.
- Successful completion of all required pre-employment screenings.
- Compliance with all legal and company regulations relevant to the industry is mandatory.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Approval from the state regulatory agency is required to obtain a cannabis agent badge.
- Physical demands include regular activities such as grasping, talking, hearing, climbing, reaching, squatting, kneeling, crawling, seeing, and repetitive motions.
- Must be capable of lifting, carrying, and balancing up to 50 pounds (100 pounds with assistance) safely and with care.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills are required.
- Attention to detail and the ability to internalize training and follow instructions are crucial.
- Effective communication skills are necessary.
- Thorough knowledge of all applicable laws, regulations, and requirements to maintain 100% compliance within the facility is essential, including staying updated on any changes.
- Must maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements for working in the cannabis industry.
- Other duties may be assigned as needed.
