Mental Health Program Coordinator

The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services is seeking a skilled Mental Health Program Coordinator to join our team at the Montana Mental Health and Nursing Care Center.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating care plans, assigning groups, schedules, and clinics to ensure quality of care and resident accountability. This role requires strong counseling skills to support residents with day-to-day problems, resident rights, behavior management, family issues, and emotional crisis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate care plans and assign groups, schedules, and clinics to ensure quality of care and resident accountability
  • Counsel residents on day-to-day problems, resident rights, behavior management, family issues, and emotional crisis
  • Develop and implement treatment programs
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare providers
  • Utilize computer software and medical provider systems to document resident information and track progress

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a related field (e.g., psychology, social work, counseling)
  • LCPC or LCSW licensure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
