Laboratory Technician in Microbiology

MyKelly is seeking a Microbiology Laboratory Technician to join our team.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 2 PM - 10:30 PM
Contract Length: 6 months
Salary: Commensurate with experience
Primary Duties:
- Conduct microbiological sampling, plating, and data analysis for a variety of materials.
- Collaborate on projects and refine methods to improve testing protocols.
- Evaluate test outcomes, identify patterns, and perform investigations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Manage inventory of laboratory supplies and provide administrative support to the Quality Assurance Department.
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance to resolve quality issues.
- Stay informed about advancements in microbiology and laboratory methodologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of laboratory experience is preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.
- Attention to detail and prior laboratory experience are essential.
- Capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds and adapt to varying work conditions.
- Ability to walk, bend, stoop, and sit for extended periods.
- Must be self-sufficient and capable of working without supervision.
