Crane Operator

As a Crane Operator with Prince Contracting, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating cranes to move heavy loads and equipment on construction sites.
Key Responsibilities:- Load Hookup and Safety: Observe load hookup and determine the safety of the load to ensure a secure and stable operation.
- Crane Control: Manipulate or depress crane controls, such as pedals, levers, and buttons, to regulate speed and direction of crane and hoist movement according to written, verbal, or signal instructions.
- Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain crane and hoisting mechanism to ensure optimal performance and prevent defects.
- Inspection and Reporting: Inspect crane for defective parts and notify supervisor of defects or malfunctions.
- Load Attachment: May attach load to hook or other crane accessory prior to operating crane.
- Physical Demands: Must be able to stand, kneel, walk, lift, bend, stoop, push, and pull for long periods of time.
- Work Schedule: Must be able to work on average ten (10) hours per day, five days (and occasionally six days) per week.
- Work Environment: All work is performed outdoors in Florida heat and rain; and around heavy highway traffic areas.
