Position Overview:
Family Health Centers of San Diego is seeking a qualified Rheumatologist to provide exceptional care in a 100% outpatient setting. This role offers flexibility with part-time or full-time options, ensuring a balanced work-life environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized medical services under the guidance of the Chief Medical Officer.
- Ensure thorough and timely documentation in compliance with electronic medical record standards.
- Adhere to organizational policies and procedures, including maintaining necessary credentials and attending mandatory meetings.
- Foster effective communication and respectful interactions with both colleagues and patients.
- Meet productivity expectations set by medical leadership while maintaining high-quality patient care.
- Participate in clinical programs aimed at improving health outcomes and organizational metrics.
- Manage administrative tasks, including lab reports and medication refills, efficiently.
- Be available for on-call duties as required.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Board certification in Rheumatology is required.
- Possession of a DEA license and a current unrestricted medical license in California.
- Ability to travel within San Diego County as necessary.
- Active Class C California driver's license with proof of liability insurance.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven ability to work with diverse patient populations.
- Basic computer skills for electronic medical record documentation.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly desirable.
- Experience in taking detailed medical histories and a commitment to community medicine.
- A minimum of one year of experience in Rheumatology is required, with preference for experience serving underserved populations.
Compensation:
The expected salary range for this position is $275,000 - $340,000, depending on various factors including experience and qualifications. A comprehensive benefits package is also offered.
