About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with patients who require psychiatric care. As a Psychiatric - Mental Health Physician Assistant, you will be responsible for providing direct clinical services to patients within the scope of services allowed under WV Board of Nursing and in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Psychiatric Committee and Medical Center.

You will perform history and physical examinations on assigned patients, provide consultation and liaison throughout the hospital facility, perform daily rounds on patients as directed by the supervising physician, prescribe medications, and provide clinical assessments and diagnoses in accordance with WV law and individual, group, and family therapy.

In addition to your clinical responsibilities, you will also have opportunities to engage in education and training initiatives, contributing to the growth and development of staff, community members, and students.

Requirements
  • A Master's Degree in nursing with a clinical specialist in Psychiatry;
  • Successful completion of the American Nurses Clinical Specialist Examination;
  • WV licensure.
Compensation and Benefits
