Key Responsibilities:

  • Development of ESG Strategies: Work closely with clients to create and enhance ESG strategies that are in line with their corporate objectives and industry benchmarks. Offer insights on establishing ESG goals, objectives, and performance metrics.
  • Compliance Management: Ensure adherence to pertinent ESG regulations and frameworks, including the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB). Stay updated on regulatory developments and adjust strategies as necessary.
  • Reporting and Transparency: Support clients in the preparation of ESG disclosures and reports. Guide the data collection and analysis process to ensure the accuracy and transparency of sustainability reporting.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify and evaluate ESG-related risks and opportunities. Formulate strategies to mitigate risks and leverage opportunities to improve overall ESG performance.
  • Engagement with Stakeholders: Facilitate effective communication with stakeholders to gather feedback, address concerns, and promote ESG initiatives. Assist clients in fostering strong relationships with investors, customers, and employees.
  • Impact Assessments: Conduct assessments of environmental and social impacts. Evaluate resource utilization, waste management practices, and governance frameworks to pinpoint areas for enhancement.
  • Benchmarking: Research and compare ESG practices against industry standards and competitors. Provide actionable recommendations for adopting leading practices in sustainability.
  • Training and Development: Create and deliver educational programs on ESG principles and reporting standards. Equip client teams with the knowledge to implement and sustain effective ESG practices.
  • Implementation Support: Assist clients in executing ESG initiatives and integrating them into their operational frameworks. Provide support for change management processes to ensure successful implementation.
  • Performance Evaluation: Monitor and assess ESG performance against established benchmarks and metrics. Offer insights and recommendations for ongoing improvement and enhanced sustainability outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, or a related discipline; advanced degrees or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Sustainability Professional (CSP)) are preferred.
  • Professional Experience: 4-6 years of experience in sustainability consulting, ESG management, or a related field.
  • Core Competencies: Strong knowledge of ESG frameworks, reporting standards, and sustainability practices. Proficient in data analysis, risk assessment, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, capable of conveying complex ESG information and recommendations clearly to clients and stakeholders.
  • Analytical Skills: Advanced analytical capabilities to evaluate ESG data, identify trends, and formulate actionable strategies for enhancement.
  • Project Management Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage ESG projects, including planning, resource coordination, and timely delivery of results.
  • Personal Attributes: Detail-oriented, strategic thinker, and adept at working both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
