Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality patient care through a collaborative approach with the healthcare team, utilizing the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Ensure patient safety by adhering to established policies and procedures, and taking proactive measures to prevent errors and adverse events.
- Provide individualized comfort measures and pain management strategies, working closely with patients and families to identify and address their unique needs.
- Participate in performance improvement activities, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices that enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement discharge plans, ensuring a smooth transition of care for patients and families.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical trends and research, applying this knowledge to improve patient care and outcomes.
- Associate's degree or graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current RN licensure in the state of New Jersey.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification, if assigned to critical care or emergency department.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification, if assigned to maternity services.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, if assigned to pediatric or emergency department.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
This role requires frequent standing, walking, and lifting of up to 25 pounds. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions is essential. Sensory requirements include accurate vision, hearing, and depth perception.
