Job Summary:

The Lead Therapeutic Specialist provides supervision and therapeutic support to youth in a psychiatric residential treatment facility. This position utilizes professional experience and training to meet the overall social and emotional needs of the young people in treatment, increasing hope, motivation, and resilience-based outcomes. The Lead Therapeutic Specialist also provides supervision and support to all assigned Therapeutic Specialists.

Responsibilities:
  • Functions in accordance with the system's Operational Guidelines and within their professional code of ethics.
  • Provides guidance, utilizing their experience and ability to meet the needs of the client and the goals of treatment.
  • Participates in and contributes to staff development activities.
  • Is sensitive and responsible to management needs, such as data collection and program evaluation.
  • Participates in all required meetings and is responsive to Quality Assurance procedures.
