Position Summary
The Credit Analyst plays a crucial role in providing data-driven recommendations through thorough research and analysis of customer financial documents. This position involves evaluating financial data to determine the likelihood of borrowers fulfilling their financial commitments on behalf of the bank.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive financial analysis of loan applications, including reviewing financial statements, tax returns, cash flow forecasts, and credit reports.
- Assess the creditworthiness of potential borrowers based on financial data, industry trends, and economic factors.
- Prepare detailed credit presentations that outline the recommended credit structure, terms, and conditions.
- Monitor the credit risk associated with the existing portfolio by reviewing financial statements and conducting regular portfolio assessments.
- Collaborate closely with loan officers to ensure timely and accurate credit decisions.
- Adhere to all credit policies and guidelines established by the bank.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in credit analysis or lending is preferred.
- Familiarity with Moody's Analytics or similar software is strongly preferred.
