Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled RN/LPN/CMA PRN to join our team at Boone County Family Medicine South. As a primary health care services provider, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the delivery of primary health care services and patient care management under the direction of the physician/provider.
  • Perform general nursing care to patients, including preparing them for examination, procedures, and testing.
  • Aid the physician/provider during treatment, examination, and testing of patients.
  • Observe, record, and report patient conditions and reactions to drugs and treatments to the provider.
  • Responsible for obtaining and documenting medical histories, current medication lists, immunizations, and vital signs in the medical record.
  • Collection and preparation of specimens.
  • Keep exam and treatment rooms clean and properly stocked with supplies.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a Medical Assistant, LPN, or RN Program.
  • Current license to practice in the state of Iowa.
  • Previous clinical experience preferred, but new grads are welcome to apply.
  • Strong interpersonal and computer skills.
  • Knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice.
Working Conditions

Work is performed with frequent exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, medicinal preparations, and other conditions common to a clinic environment.

Vision must be correctable to view computer screens and read printed information. Hearing must be in the normal range for telephone contacts and other communications.
