Job Title: School-Based Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team in Denver, CO. As a School-Based Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting students' development and academic success by addressing their motor, sensory, and functional needs within the school environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct thorough evaluations to identify students' needs related to fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, and activities of daily living.
  • Individualized Education Plans (IEPs): Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with the educational team, including teachers, school counselors, and parents.
  • Therapeutic Interventions: Provide direct therapy services to students to enhance their motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living abilities.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, special education staff, and other school professionals to integrate therapy goals into daily classroom activities and support students' functional needs.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of student assessments, progress notes, and treatment plans.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Colorado. National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification is required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a school setting or with children is highly desirable. New graduates with strong clinical training and a passion for working in educational environments are also encouraged to apply.
