Job Summary

We are seeking a Part-time Sales Associate to join our team at The Salvation Army Central Territory. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to our shoppers and donors, maintaining a clean and well-organized work and shopping experience, and handling each transaction with accuracy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to our shoppers and donors, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean and well-organized work and shopping environment, including the cash register area, sales floor, and stockroom.
  • Transaction Handling: Handle each transaction with accuracy, including processing sales, handling returns and exchanges, and making change.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with receiving and stocking merchandise, including hanging and displaying items on the sales floor.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other sales associates and management to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive work environment.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Skills: Basic computer skills, including the use of a Point of Sale system; ability to give change accurately; and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds; occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds may be required.
Working Conditions

The work environment for this position is a store environment with a quiet to moderate noise level. The environment may be dusty and may experience temperature fluctuations based on weather. Weekend and evening hours are required.
