About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Airport Custodian. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our airport facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain public areas throughout the airport terminal and parking garage, including restrooms, waiting areas, and walkways.
  • Operate cleaning equipment and power tools, such as floor scrubbers and carpet extractors.
  • Identify and report safety and security hazards, and respond to emergencies as needed.
  • Interact with the public and provide information or direct them to appropriate personnel.
  • Perform routine and repetitive tasks with specific instructions and set procedures.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and mixing rules and regulations of cleaning chemicals and solutions.
  • Ability to work on ladders and scaffolds up to 20 feet high, remove and lift large amounts of trash and other waste, and operate power tools and equipment.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 years of experience working in the custodial field and working knowledge of common custodial practices and cleaning products and supplies.
  • Completed an Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 10-hour General Industry Training course.

Works around the general public and traffic, snow and ice during winter months.
