Job Summary

Tlingit Haida Tribal Business Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Technician to join our team at the US Air Force Academy in Colorado. As an Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for facilitating the completion of electrical projects and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of electrical trade functions, including installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment.
  • Install or repair electrical equipment, such as generators, transformers, switchboards, and circuit breakers.
  • Work from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications to ensure accurate and efficient completion of tasks.
  • Locate and diagnose trouble in electrical systems or equipment.
  • Perform standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment.
  • Use a variety of electrician's hand tools and measuring and testing instruments.
Requirements
  • Minimum of five (5) years journey-level experience in industrial electrical systems.
  • Formal apprenticeship or equivalent formal vocational/technical training program in industrial electrical systems.
  • State of Colorado Journeyman Electrician License.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under tight time constraints in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities.
  • Highly motivated, flexible, organized, and detail-oriented.
