Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Paramedic to join our team at MercyOne Elkader Medical Center. As a Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care in both pre-hospital and hospital settings. This is a part-time position that requires flexibility and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in both pre-hospital and hospital settings
  • Cover on-call hours as directed and per departmental need
  • Complete required vehicle, equipment, and supply inspections with appropriate documentation
  • Maintain constant means of communication with dispatch
  • Attend monthly meetings and training programs
  • Ability to lead and function in a supervisory role while responding to calls
  • Participate in protocol development, quality assurance programs, and equipment/medication changes or upgrades
  • Additional duties as assigned by manager
Requirements
  • Licensed State of Iowa Paramedic (required), must maintain active licensure
  • Complete required continuing education every two years to maintain current certification status
  • Current ACLS, PALS, and BLS
