Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiographer 8 to join our team at UP Health System – Marquette. As a key member of our Radiology department, you will be responsible for performing various imaging procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reviews patient history and physician's orders to ensure accurate and effective care.
  • Educates patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
  • Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.
  • Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.
  • Positions patients and performs imaging procedures, analyzing results and identifying issues with image quality.
  • Enters, transmits, and reports scan results.
Requirements
  • Minimum Education: Two years ARRT accredited program in Radiologic Technology or Associate's degree.
  • Required Skills: Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Required Certifications: Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP) and ARRT Registry in Radiology (R) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
  • Minimum Work Experience: 1 year related experience.
