Job Overview

The Culinary Support Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring a pleasant dining experience for residents. Responsibilities include monitoring and documenting food temperatures, maintaining a clean and sanitized serving area, preparing and serving meals, restocking food supplies, cleaning equipment, and processing payments through a computerized register.

Adheres to Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines for food safety. Provides excellent customer service and communicates effectively with residents and team members. Demonstrates the ability to foster positive working relationships.

Maintains high standards of quality control.

May operate various kitchen equipment, including grills, beverage dispensers, toasters, ice cream machines, cash registers, steam equipment, dishwashers, and refrigeration units.

Previous experience in the food service industry is preferred.

Must be able to work independently when necessary and possess a solid understanding of food safety and sanitation practices. Demonstrates the ability to remain on feet for extended periods and navigate distances as required.

Qualifications
Minimum age of 16 years. Previous experience in customer service, cash handling, and food service is preferred. Ability to read, write, and follow both oral and written instructions. Basic math skills are necessary. On-the-job training will be provided.

Depending on the location of employment, Serv Safe certification may be required within a specified timeframe. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may also be necessary based on location requirements.
