About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Atrium Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing MRI procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify patient orders and examine requests to ensure accurate and safe procedures.
  • Prepare patients for MRI procedures, explaining the process and documenting relevant information.
  • Interview patients to obtain a complete medical history and review relevant clinical information.
  • Administer IV contrast as needed and record relevant information.
  • Evaluate image quality and consult with radiologists as necessary.
  • Perform basic patient care functions and inform nursing personnel of any changes in patient condition.
  • Assist with invasive procedures and maintain knowledge of radiation safety protocols.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited two-year AMA-approved program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology.
  • ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology or NMTCB certification in Nuclear Medicine with advanced registry in MRI.
  • CPR certification.
Physical Demands

This role requires moderate to heavy physical efforts in lifting and moving patients, equipment, and supplies. Occasional standing, walking, and sitting are required during normal operation.
