Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at ECHN. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, administering respiratory therapy modalities as prescribed by physicians, and ensuring proper care and adjustments as necessary.


Main Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Administer respiratory therapy modalities, including mechanical ventilation, oxygen delivery, and aerosol therapy;">
  • Perform patient assessments, develop care plans, and document all therapies accurately;">
  • Maintain and troubleshoot various respiratory equipment, including ventilators, BIPAP/CPAP systems, and oxygen analyzers;">
  • Draw and analyze blood gases, interpret arterial blood gas and oximetry results, and differentiate between patient and equipment problems;">
  • Provide patient education on respiratory care, medications, and disease management;">
  • Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient plans of care;">

Requirements:
">
  • ">
  • A minimum of one year of skilled respiratory experience within the last two years;">
  • Credentialing and licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care;">
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Neonatal Resuscitation Program Provider (NRP) certification;">
  • Ability to speak, read, and write using the English language;">
  • Effective verbal communication skills to interact with patients, co-workers, and physicians;">
  • Effective written communication skills to accurately document medical charting and billing information;">
  • Strong focus on customer service and ability to exhibit patience and empathy while providing care to a culturally diverse group of patients;">

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT) certification;">
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification;">
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic healthcare environment;">
