Job Title: Pipefitter Apprentice

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter Apprentice to join our team at Hitachi. As a Pipefitter Apprentice, you will be responsible for assembling equipment per mechanical drawings, ensuring changes and problems are documented and communicated, and carrying out assigned tasks with minimum direct supervision.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Assemble equipment per mechanical drawings
* Ensure changes and problems are documented and communicated
* Carry out assigned tasks with minimum direct supervision
* Execute ISO/Quality standards
* Communicate with the Pipe Fitter/Fluid Power Lead on open issues and progress during the build process

**Requirements:**

* Eligible to enroll in an approved apprenticeship program
* High school diploma, or equivalent certification
* Related vocational education preferred
* Basic computer skills
* Intermediate proficiency reading part and assembly drawings
* Proven mechanical aptitude with a focus on safety and quality
* Proven ability to accept direction and complete tasks as assigned while working as part of a team or individually

**Preferred Skills:**

* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as required
* Ability to obtain a Hi-Lo (Forklift), Aerial Platform and Overhead Crane license, along with Lock Out Tag Out training, while employed at Hitachi
* Ability to provide own hand tools and toolbox suitable for the job (a list of recommended tools will be provided)
* Travel at least 25% of the time may be required. This may include domestic and international travel depending on the project
