Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Office Assistant II - Pediatrics to join our team at the University of Maryland Faculty Physicians. As a key member of our pediatric care team, you will provide exceptional patient care and administrative support to our physicians and nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians and nursing staff in providing high-quality patient care, including taking vitals, administering injections, and performing other necessary tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment, including nurses' stations, exam rooms, and procedure areas.
  • Perform front desk and clerical duties, such as demographic and insurance registration, charge entry, and scheduling patients.
  • Utilize electronic systems, such as GE or EPIC, to manage patient information and billing.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant certification preferred.
  • Completion of an accredited medical assistant program.
  • Two to three years of related medical office experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Medical terminology knowledge.
  • CPR certification.
  • Experience with GE or EPIC systems.
