Adjustment Counselor

Job Summary

Framingham Public Schools is seeking a highly skilled Adjustment Counselor to join our team. As an Adjustment Counselor, you will play a critical role in providing support to students who are experiencing social-emotional challenges. You will work closely with teachers, administrators, and other support staff to develop and implement strategies to promote student learning and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

* Identify and assess academic and behavioral concerns through analysis of factors impacting student adjustment
* Develop and implement measurable goals and objectives which address student's social/emotional needs
* Provide individual and group therapeutic counseling to students
* Assist students in identifying, modifying and/or changing behavior that interferes with achievement and school adjustment
* Provide strategies and preventative interventions for clinical issues related to all school-age children

Requirements

* Current and valid MA DESE as a Social Worker/Adjustment Counselor
* Experience supporting students in the academic, social/emotional, and career domains
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and other support staff
