A prominent financial services organization is in search of an experienced Informatica IDQ Developer. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in glossaries, mapping specifications, and data lineage. This role requires close collaboration with various teams to conduct data analysis and develop comprehensive reports and applications. The Informatica IDQ Developer should demonstrate expertise in all aspects of data quality and the development of metrics, scorecards, and data quality rules aimed at enhancing the overall integrity of data within our financial ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement processes that align with data quality standards, guidelines, and best practices.
- Develop data profiles utilizing industry standards and best practices.
- Create data dictionaries, document data quality lifecycles, and adhere to version control protocols.
- Apply matching component selection guidelines effectively.
- Exhibit both hands-on capabilities and the ability to articulate complex concepts and solutions to both technical and business stakeholders.
- Design, develop, and implement data profiles in various formats as specified.
- Integrate data quality results into business intelligence formats for easy interpretation of transactional data, client data, KPIs, and data quality metrics.
- Establish workflows to ensure timely data refresh and availability using Informatica ETL.
- Facilitate data integration for consumption in BI tools such as Tableau to report on predictive results from analytical trends and data quality modeling.
- Develop and maintain a strategy for managing large data volumes within departmental tools.
- Participate in design reviews of prototypes and applications prepared for production.
- Create a framework for data provisioning for business users who generate reports and those who consume data.
- Generate data quality reports and metrics using Informatica's data quality tools.
- Maintain existing IT infrastructure while optimizing information flows and visualizations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a regulated financial institution.
- Proficiency in using the IDQ (Informatica Data Quality) suite for development and reporting.
- Knowledge of Informatica components essential for operating Data Quality (PowerCenter experience required).
- In-depth understanding of data quality processes, measurement techniques, and business cases, including profiling, cleansing, standardization, and match/merge.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing Informatica's Data Quality components (rules, glossaries, scorecards).
- Experience in integrating data quality transformations across various architectures.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient SQL skills with DB2, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server databases.
- Experience in designing Informatica PowerCenter mappings, workflows, and reusable mapplets.
- Experience in requirements gathering and developing data-driven tools.
- Familiarity with predictive and prescriptive data analytics, including regression analysis and simulation.
- Expertise in designing and modeling complex databases.
- Experience in the research and development of data visualization techniques.
