Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Joint Reconstruction team at Washington University in St. Louis. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide primary and specialty nursing and medical care to patients in a variety of settings, working under physician oversight as required by state regulation.
- Conduct patient assessments, order and interpret diagnostic studies, and develop patient-centered plans of care in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare providers.
- Manage health conditions via prescriptive authority or referral to other healthcare providers or community resources.
- Provide counseling and education to patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options, and community resources.
- Monitor and ensure accuracy of patient medical records, maintaining all required reports, records, statistics, etc.
- M.S.N. - Master Of Science In Nursing - Nurse Practitioner or Graduate of PA program.
- Advanced Practice Nurse licensure or ability to successfully obtain licensure within three months of date of hire, or current PA licensure to practice in the state of Missouri and/or Illinois depending on location or ability to obtain within three months of date of hire.
- Certain/additional certifications may be necessary based on area of specialty.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- National Commission On Certification Of Physician Assistants - Missouri Division of Professional Registration.
- Clinical Decision Making, Clinical Diagnostics, Disease Management, Epic EHR, Family Support, HIPAA Compliance, Interpersonal Communication, Patient Care, Patient Education, Patient Evaluations, Patient Management, Pharmacology, Preventive Care, Teamwork, Time Management.
