Job Title: Security Officer - Access Control

Job Summary:

Zona Facta Collective is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Security Officer - Access Control to join our team. As a Security Officer - Access Control, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our client's patrons, employees, and property.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Regular Security Checks: Conduct regular building checks to identify and address any security concerns or breaches.
  • Access Control Management: Lock and unlock facilities as per established procedures, ensuring the security of the premises.
  • Incident Reporting: Write comprehensive reports detailing incidents, observations, and any actions taken during shifts.
  • Entry Control: Control and manage entry to site areas, verifying the identification of individuals and enforcing access policies.
  • Surveillance and Monitoring: Monitor site areas through visual inspections and surveillance systems to detect and prevent security breaches.
  • Emergency Response: Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations, providing appropriate assistance and escalating issues when necessary.
  • Identification Verification: Check identification of individuals accessing restricted areas, ensuring compliance with authorized access protocols.
  • First Aid and Medical Response: Provide first aid and act as a first responder in medical emergencies until further medical assistance arrives.
  • Security and Integrity: Actively discourage and prevent violations including, but not limited to, vagrancy, disruptiveness, violence, unauthorized sales and advertising, and vandalism.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Site Security and Integrity: Maintain the security and integrity of the site, prioritizing community/customer relations.
  • Law Enforcement Coordination: Call for local law enforcement assistance prior to investigating actual or indicated violations at site areas.
  • Collaboration and Cooperation: Cooperate with local and state police, as well as client personnel, who provide valid identification and purpose.
  • Public Visibility and Accessibility: Ensure high visibility and accessibility to the public, offering information and projecting a strong security presence to instill public confidence.
  • Lost and Found: Receive, document, and store found articles during the execution of services, delivering them to the designated location at the conclusion of each shift.
  • Personal Conduct: Refrain from having family, friends, or visitors accompany or visit you at any site area during working hours.
  • Focus and Attention: Perform duties with full attention, avoiding personal devices or materials that may distract from the job.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Composure and Calmness: Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
  • Observational Skills: Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
  • Certifications: First Aid/CPR certification is desirable.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of access control systems and procedures is a plus.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Driver's License: Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
