Financial Analyst

Job Summary:

The Accountant will be responsible for preparing timely and accurate financial statements, ensuring completeness of accounting data, and participating in providing internal controls and/or oversight of financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, CPA certification, and proficiency in Excel.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare period-end journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Participate in providing internal controls and/or oversight of financial operations, including accounts payable, purchasing, accounts receivable, cash functions, payroll, and other related activities.
• Remain cross-trained to serve as backup to other departmental functions as needed.
• Collaborate with departmental and executive leaders towards the preparation and analysis of the annual budgets.
• Dive into data and correct inconsistencies, find and understand root causes and drivers.
• Communicate with other departments on outstanding accounting issues, problems, or concerns.
• Assist in developing, testing, and documenting new accounting systems and procedures.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests, survey completion, financial analysis, and other projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting.
• CPA, currently pursuing a CPA, or public accounting experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal to no supervision.
• Working knowledge of computer applications and basic office equipment.
