We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant- PTA to join our team at Embrace Hospice & Home Health. As a PTA, you will play a vital role in providing direct care to patients and coordinating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal care experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct physical therapy according to the physical therapist's directions and in accordance with the physician's plan of care.
  • Direct and aid patients in active and passive therapeutic exercises, muscle reeducation, gait and functional training, transfer activities, and prosthetic training.
  • Utilize physical agents, including heat, cold, water, light, electricity, ultrasound, and massage.
  • Instruct patients in the use of wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes, and prosthetic or orthotic devices.
  • Observe and report to the physical therapist the patient's reaction to treatment and any changes in condition.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal legal and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program approved by the CAPTE with current licensure to practice in the state of operation.
  • 1+ year PTA experience.
  • Home health experience preferred.
  • Commitment to clinical and documentation excellence.
