Adult Trauma Therapist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Adult Trauma Therapist to join our team at Cumberland River Behavioral Health, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing Cognitive Processing Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy to adult victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, and assault, as well as adults molested as children.

Key Responsibilities:

• Screen adult victims for appropriateness to receive Cognitive Processing Therapy or Dialectical Behavior Therapy
• Provide Cognitive Processing Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy to appropriate consumers
• Attend required trainings, consultation meetings, and/or consultation calls to become trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy
• Complete eight hours of sexual assault related training annually
• Complete twelve hours of victim assistance related training annually
• Provide care based on ethical concepts, adhering to established standards of practice and engage in activities or behaviors that characterize professionalism
• Provide information regarding resources within the community to adult victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, and assault, as well as adults molested as children
• Ensure the accuracy, content and completeness of client files
• Provides services within time requirement as set forth in Agency policy and procedures
• Provide services as documented in client treatment plan
• Refrain from assuming any duty that is unrelated to and/or interferes with the responsibilities of the position
• Respond to emergency situation in a timely fashion
• Be supportive of the Green Dot Program
• Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with other team members, as part of a multidisciplinary team, and independently, when necessary

Requirements:

• Master's Degree in psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy, professional counseling, psychiatric nursing, or art therapy from an accredited school
• Certificate or license to practice a mental health discipline and meet all requirements of the respective board
• One year clinical or counseling experience post bachelors
• 40 hours of training on sexual violence related issues within three months of employment
• Submit to and pass a criminal record check and a drug screening test

While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions, may be off-site from normal office location or placed at a Residential Program. The noise level in the work environment is mild to moderate.
