Position Overview
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Medical Surgical Unit is responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing care in alignment with the ANA scope of practice. This role involves utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring a patient-family centered approach. The RN collaborates with the Nurse Leader to provide high-quality care and actively engages with patients and families to develop individualized care plans.

Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Nursing is required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required within five years of hire.
- For graduates from non-accredited nursing programs, a minimum of one year of acute care experience or two years in a licensed healthcare role is necessary, along with successful completion of the NCLEX.
- Current Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license is mandatory.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC is required upon hire.
- Specialty certification is highly recommended within two years of employment.
