Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Operate and maintain mechanical and chemical processing equipment per standard work instructions.
  • Test Stand Assembly: Assemble test stands and other equipment as per drawings.
  • Process Improvement: Identify, analyze, and implement improvements to work instructions.
  • Project Support: Support a variety of projects in a fast-paced, dynamic research environment.
  • Work Environment: Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment and champion continuous improvement in these areas.
  • Travel: Up to 20% travel to project sites throughout the United States may be required.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent, trade school certificate preferred.
  • Experience: 2+ years of industry experience in oil and gas, chemical processing, machinery maintenance, or a similar field.
  • Skills: Able and willing to wear personal protective equipment to perform required job tasks, including hearing protection, steel-toed boots, hard hat, and respiratory protection. Ability to safely use standard tools (drills, wrenches, sockets, etc.). Ability to follow basic written instructions and technical drawings/schematics. Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a team. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint), as well as chat and teleconferencing applications (e.g., Teams, Slack).
  • Qualifications: Associate degree in an engineering or related discipline. 5+ years of industry experience in oil and gas, chemical processing, machinery maintenance, or a similar field. Experience maintaining and operating chemical processing equipment. Desire and ability to be a leader in personnel safety and teamwork dynamics. Ability to work independently of direct supervision. Impeccable organization, prioritization, time management, and planning skills. Able to communicate technical information clearly and concisely. Able to adapt to changing requirements quickly in a fast-paced environment.
