Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to expectant mothers and newborns during the labor and delivery process.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess and monitor the condition of expectant mothers and fetuses during labor and delivery, utilizing your strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Administer medications and assist with medical procedures as needed, ensuring the well-being of both mother and baby.
  • Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans, promoting a safe and sterile environment in the labor and delivery unit.
  • Provide emotional support and education to expectant mothers and their families, fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, fetal heart rates, and contractions, maintaining accurate patient records and documentation.
  • Assist with the management of high-risk pregnancies and emergencies, staying current with best practices and advancements in labor and delivery nursing.
  • Prepare patients for labor and delivery and assist with the birthing process, ensuring a smooth and safe experience for all.
  • Care for newborns, including performing initial assessments, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with breastfeeding, providing exceptional care and compassion to our patients.
Qualifications:
  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in labor and delivery nursing, with a strong track record of providing exceptional patient care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm and focused in high-stress situations.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with a commitment to providing high-quality care to our patients.
