Compelling Opportunity for a Compassionate Hospice Registered Nurse

We are seeking an empathetic and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team as a Hospice RN. With a focus on providing comfort and closure, this role offers the chance to make a real impact in patients' lives.

As part of Interim HealthCare Hospice's nationwide network, you will be part of an interdisciplinary team comprised of medical professionals working together to deliver exceptional patient care.

Schedule: Weekdays (after business hours) and Weekends (dependent on your availability)

Salary Information: Our Hospice Registered Nurses enjoy competitive weekly pay rates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality home-based care to patients with six months or less to live, focusing on quality of life.
  • Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to implement patient care plans.
  • Perform thorough patient assessments, monitor vital signs, evaluate breathing, manage pain, and administer prescribed medication and treatments.
  • Educate family members on patient prognosis, changes in care plans, medication, and hospice goals.
  • Take a holistic approach to care that engages patients' minds, bodies, spirits, and families.

Requirements:

  • RN with active, unrestricted license in the State of Michigan.
  • At least one year of relevant experience as an RN.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • Reliable transportation with a valid state driver's license and current car insurance.
