Job Summary:

UnityPoint Health is seeking a skilled Pharmacist to join our team in Inpatient Operations. As a Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications in our hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate physician orders for appropriateness and completeness.
  • Complete order verification and monitoring of medication effectiveness and safety.
  • Validate products prior to dispensing and assist with inventory management.
  • Provide patient care services and serve as a resource for drug information to the medical and nursing staff.
  • Oversight of Pharmacy Technicians working under the direction of the Pharmacist.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an approved College of Pharmacy and possesses a BS degree in Pharmacy.
  • Registered Pharmacist in the state of IL and IA.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of hospital pharmacy practice preferred.
