Key Responsibilities
  • Operate computed tomography equipment and perform technical procedures, including imaging, interventional, and computerized reconstruction.
  • Position and transfer patients in a timely manner, ensuring their safety and physical requirements are met.
  • Develop film using automatic processing equipment and utilize surgical techniques as needed for sterile procedures.
  • Assist in equipment calibration and quality control, performing each test in a timely manner.
  • Administer radiographic contrast according to physician requests and departmental policy.
  • Evaluate when radiologist consultation is necessary for contrast media administration.
  • Complete initial IV setup, prep, and insertion for CT scans, ensuring proper aseptic technique.
Requirements
  • Computed Tomography certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists within 12 months of hire.
  • Current CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written).
