Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Site-Specific Safety Orientations: Provide comprehensive safety training to ISC associates and subcontractors upon arrival at the job site.
  • Maintain Jobsite Safety Recordkeeping: Accurately document and maintain safety records, including incident reports and safety inspections.
  • Proactive Safety Measures: Identify and implement effective mitigation measures and controls to create a safe working environment.
  • Participate in Job Safety Analysis: Collaborate with work crews to conduct job safety analyses and toolbox meetings to promote positive hazard recognition.
  • Review and Acknowledge Job Safety Analysis: Verify the accuracy of job safety analyses and acknowledge by signing the document.
  • Report Incidents and Accidents: Immediately notify jobsite management, owner, and/or ISC corporate safety management of any incidents or accidents.
  • Assist in Scheduled Safety Meetings: Participate in and assist with conducting scheduled safety meetings to promote a culture of safety.
  • Monitor Safety Progress: Regularly monitor safety progress at the work site and recommend corrective measures to ISC management as needed.
  • Conduct Safety Observations: Conduct regular safety observations and distribute reports to necessary individuals and ISC Regional Safety Manager or Director.
  • Learn and Implement ISC Safety Policies: Familiarize yourself with ISC safety policies and procedures, beyond those expected from craft associates.
  • Escort Associates to Occupational Medicine: Escort associates to onsite or offsite occupational medicine as needed.
  • Understand Construction Principles and OSHA Regulations: Possess a thorough understanding of construction principles and OSHA regulations.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of industrial safety field experience with an E&I contractor.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to interact with employees, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Certifications: Certified in Basic First Aid, CPR, and AED use; Construction Site Safety Technician (CSST) or Certified Occupational Safety Specialist (COSS) certification preferred.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in using a computer, including the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of Hazards: Familiarity with hazards associated with the areas for which responsible.
Prerequisites
  • TWIC Card: Possess a valid TWIC card.
  • Professional Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Business Relationships: Ability to maintain positive business relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Problem-Solving: Motivated to recognize and resolve problems independently.
  • Task Management: Skilled at performing tasks accurately and managing multiple priorities.
