Truck Driver CDL A Part Time Opportunity

Ryder is seeking a qualified Truck Driver CDL A Part Time to join our team in Sarasota, FL. As a solo truck driver, you will be responsible for delivering freight to various locations within a 150-air-mile radius.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules
  • Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
  • Loading and unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight as required
  • Maintaining accurate records and logs
Requirements:
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Pass a Ryder drug test
  • Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Provide a valid Class A CDL and endorsements
  • 9 months of verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle within the past 3 years
Benefits:
  • Weekly pay of $586 or more
  • Hourly pay of $24.50 per hour plus a $4.80 per hour health and welfare stipend
  • 5-6 days of work per week
  • 3:00 PM start time
  • Local home daily route
  • Tractor type: Day Cab
  • Trailer type: 48' & 53' Dry Van
  • Freight: Touch - US Mail
