Orthopedic Technician

As an Orthopedic Tech at St. Peter's Health, you will play a vital role in providing direct and indirect patient care as directed by physicians and participating in surgical and non-surgical procedures.

• Assist orthopedic surgeons in the Cast Room during patient care procedures, including fracture reduction, hardware removal, and dressing changes.
• Measure and fit patients for braces and other orthopedic devices, educating them on proper use.
• Apply mobilization and immobilization devices for inpatient and post-operative patients.
• Participate in surgery and procedure scheduling, ensuring all necessary testing and prior authorizations are completed.
• Attend 80% of staff meetings and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
