Position SummaryUnder the supervision of nursing staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and comfort of residents at Stone Pear Pavilion while assisting them with their daily activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver care and services to residents as outlined in their personalized care plans, which may include assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, positioning, and feeding.
- Conduct regular checks on each resident every two hours, starting upon arrival and concluding just before the end of your shift.
- Measure and document vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and respiration rates, as well as food and fluid intake and output, as directed.
- Engage in resident activity programs.
- Record care provided to residents using the approved documentation methods.
- Immediately report any changes in resident conditions to the charge nurse.
- Assist in maintaining supply levels in clean utility rooms.
- Participate in required meetings and training sessions.
To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Completion of an approved nurse's aide certification program.
- Fulfillment of annual state-mandated training requirements.
Candidates should possess:
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members.
- Basic mathematical skills for measuring and documenting resident dietary intake and output.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and address problems in standardized situations.
This position requires:
- Regular standing and walking throughout the facility.
- Frequent lifting and moving of residents, often requiring teamwork.
- Ability to perform various physical tasks, including bending, stooping, and kneeling.
Employees may encounter exposure to airborne viruses, bodily pathogens, and wet conditions while providing care. The noise level can vary, with quieter times during evening shifts.
